Artist Statement
Magic! Straw into gold! Alchemy!
That's how I view papermaking. LIke the alchemists of old, I strive to transform a lowly material, in my case, discarded paper, into a valuable item.
My love of Asian design led me to papermaking and my style follows that aesthetic of 'less is more'. Art and nature provide me with an unending source of inspiration. I use whatever materials and techniques will best allow me to explore and share the tiny secrets of nature that one often overlooks.
